Dr. Patrick D. Yoshinaga received the Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1983. He has enjoyed working in private practice since 1987 and has served as Director of Contact Lens Services at the University of Southern California Doheny Eye Institute. He worked at the Doheny Eye Institute from 1984 to 2000 with special emphasis in the areas of contact lens fitting of post-surgical patients and for the treatment of ocular disease, and low vision rehabilitation.
Dr. Yoshinaga is currently Associate Professor at SCCO and teaches in the clinical departments of Primary Care and Low Vision Rehabilitation. He also teaches in geometric optics, ophthalmic optics, and low vision laboratories. Dr. Yoshinaga is the coordinator of the Las Vegas Low Vision Clinic; State of Nevada Bureau of Services to the Blind and Visually Impaired. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry since 1986.
