Biography

Dr. Raymond Chu received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York, College of Optometry, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University and has remained on faculty since that time. Dr. Chu went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology at the California State University, Fullerton.

Dr. Chu is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and a Diplomate in the Optometric Education Section. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. Dr. Chu has lectured locally and nationally on a variety of pediatric topics. His research interests include binocular vision, myopia, amblyopia, pediatric optometry, learning-related vision problems, and pedagogy.
